John York sings with a rich emotional voice and favors the twelve string guitar for his incredible repertoire of American music from folk roots to folk rock. He is best known for his work with the Byrds, but prior to joining The Byrds John was a member of Sir Douglas Quintet. He also worked as a session and touring musician for The Mamas & the Papas, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Barry McGuire, Rick Danko, Dr. John, and many more.
